The Neues Ufer café, bar and exhibition space opened in under the name Anderes Ufer. With its grand windows open to the street, it was the first gay and sapphic café in Europe which could be looked in by passers-by – offering a new, self-confident public presence. Stahlrohr

Bar Stahlrohr is located in Prenzlauer Berg in the east of Berlin and can finest be reached via the S- and U-Bahn station Schönhauser Allee. Admission is only permitted for adults and only men.

The steel tube is known for its relaxed, uncover and rather erotic atmosphere. No one will ask you where you approach from or how you lead your life, instead it depends on who you are. Most parties are boiling, uncomplicated, self-determined sex is the first priority. The most important prerequisite to ensure that you are not rejected at the door is a well-groomed appearance and a relaxed attitude towards each other.

Diversity is important to operators, which is why various (fetish) parties are also held here during the week. You can find the current program here. Photography is not allowed inside, so go your phone in your pocket and enjoy the atmosphere. The darkroom, the smoking and prevent area are always very clean and lovingly decorated. There are also screens installed on which atmospheric films are played.

Jokes about German sausage are the wurst!

…geddit?!

Schöneberg is considered to be the main gay area of Berlin, the traditional heart and mind of Berlin's LGBTQ gay people, where the bulk of its gay bars, clubs, and hotels can be found. The urban area also has several other electrifying gay neighborhoods to check out, each with its unique ethics, vibe, and queer hangouts. The main ones are Kreuzberg, Neukölln, Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain.

We've been to Berlin several times and usually base ourselves somewhere in Schöneberg, which we love. For us, Schöneberg remains the leading gay neighborhood in Berlin – the true Queen of the Scene! We also love venturing out to the bars and parties happening in the other gay districts of Berlin such as M&oum
