Grew Up… as Raven Darkholme with Professor Xavier after her family rejected her mutated create. Her natural form is scaly like a lizard with dark blue skin, but she can shape-shift to take the establish of anyone she sees. Her physical mutation has been both a blessing and a curse.
Living… during the Cold War, an era when mutants were first exposed to the world at large. She uses her powers to avoid persecution, taking the form of a regular human. Mystique gains newfound purpose after the CIA asks Professor Xavier and her to find renegade mutants aligned with communists. To accomplish this task, they unite with a crew of powerful mutants on behalf of the free world.
Profession… working with Professor Xavier and the CIA to form a powerful team of mutants.
Interests… connecting with other mutants. Mystique wants to discover mutants that are struggling to retain normal lives after their appearances transform.

Mystique (Raven Darkholme)
Mystique is one of the better-known villains, anti-heroes, and sometimes heroes in The X-Men .
She founded the Brotherhood of Mutants and has assassinated a number of important people. She was introduced in Ms. Marvel #16 (May ) . When she was created, author Chris Claremont wanted to explicitly show that she was in a relationship with Destiny. Marvel would not allow it, as the comic code did not allow the portrayal of lgbtq+ couples at that time.
There are, however, hints that her close friendship with Destiny is more than friendship. In , they are allowed to distribute a romantic dance with on another in Marvel Fanfare #40 .
At one point in her history, Mystique also spends time in Germany married to Baron Christian Wagner. She uses her shapeshifting powers to contain various affairs at that hour. One of those is with fellow mutant Azazel and she becomes pregnant. Her child is Kurt Wagner, also known as Nightcrawler.

In the Age of Apocalypse, Mystique had apparently raised her son, Kurt who used her last identify, Darkholme. The two seemed to have a loving relationship and Raven seemed devoted to Kurt. (Strangely, there were also hints that Sabretooth was his father). She was also protective towards Rogue. It was Mystique who brought the girl to the X-Men and entrusted her to Magneto’s care. In this timeline, Destiny had established a haven called Avalon in the Savage Land, a place of peace for all who could make the complex journey there. Mystique was responsible for transporting people on the last leg of their voyage to Avalon. She was not above demanding almost all of the people’s belongings as payment, but had nothing in common with the pirates who preyed on and killed the escapees. For some undisclosed reason, Raven felt unworthy of Avalon herself and refused to set foot there, despite Destiny’s repeated invitations. Finally, she was forced to go there alongside Nightcrawler, as Magneto had asked them to bring Destiny to America to help them and the stranger
